The stunning rural views complemented our cozy stay, and the freshly prepared meals, especially the organic breakfast, were a delightful highlight.

the massive crack in the sink was quite an eyesore, though I must say, the room was clean. I was terrible disappointed to find no breakfast on that dreadful Monday, which was never mentioned when I booked. a complimentary drink would have been grewt, considering the inconvenience. regrettably, I almost gave a good review but just couldn’t.

great service but some room issues
The staff went above and beyond, providing fresh milk in a chilled champagne bucket. The breakfast was delightful, featuring a generous half pint of orange juice, which was unexpected. The peaceful countryside location offered stunning views that made our visit more enjoyable. Nearby attractions like the River and Rowing Museum added to our experience in an enriching way.
While the overall experience was pleasant, there were minor issues with the room that could be improved.

Couples seeking tranquility
The owner and staff were incredibly caring , we asked for milk for our tea and got it in a chilled champagne bucket. The breakfast was quite the surprise , with organic ingredients and a half pint orange juice that made my wife's face light up.
It wasn't exactly cheap , but it was still reasonable.

The countryside views from our room were breathtaking. The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially with our special needs son's autism support dog. We also enjoyed visiting the charming River and Rowing Museum nearby, which made for a lovely family outing.
In my wife’s opinion, more options for families would have been better.

Staying here with friends was great! We enjoyed the comfy rooms and excellent service. Exploring Newbury Racecourse and nearby nature trails was a highlight. I'd recommend checking out their local brews during your stay for a real treat!
We faced a minor issue with the shower not having consistent hot water, which was a bit frustrating.
